I was perusing all things Pinterest to pick up my spirits at work and came across this blog and had an idea. I love sending little things, smiles, cards to people and this was even better. Random, hilarious funny things you can just drop in the mail to brighten someones day. Why not? It only cost's a few stamps and of course whatever you choose to put inside so really, you have a less expensive care package or *smile* (as opposed to a flat rate mailer box).
So, here are my first random smiles I sent out. I only have 2 goals for this each time... (1) That it brings a smile to the receiver's face, let's them know that not only I am thinking about them and praying for them but that God is lovin' on them. And, (2) to strike a smile on the post office employee's face (which, let's face it, most people are in the same position as far as jobs go and could use a smile), and most of the time, the random craziness of this will strike up conversation. This allows God to jump in and work talking about what you are doing, just loving on the postal employee, etc.
#1...Laughable Lemons...
So, I went to target in search of something random and found these "lemon savers" to put your lemons in after you cut them open to save for later. Perfect! I filled them with random goodies like candy, slim jim (which, who knows if the recipients even like them), and a random note. I will have to redo one of them because apparently these will not pass customs (FYI) *sorry Kristen, yours will come soon... So, I hope these bring a smile and who knows where fun mail randomness will go next!
#2... Crazy Eggs...
So, another idea is to send randomeness in eggs... like the ones from Easter. Yes, it is random so surely it will bring a smile! Here is what I will be sending next. And, will be sending many of these in the future, probably just changing what I send in the inside. I put mostly candy in these with a little note. These are for birthdays. I will take these to the post office and get an idea of the postage and if I am brave, just put stamps on the next ones! Have you sent any Happy mail? If so, share!

I got this idea from Gina- all you have to do is place the address and some stamps on there and you are good to go! It is averaging about 4-5 stamps per box, depending on weight. HOWEVER, somehow Gina got hers mailed with 1 stamp... I just think the USPS likes her! :)
