He is getting SO big!

Well, Logan is 6 weeks 3 days old today and he is getting so big! William took him to the doctor today and he weighs 12lbs 2 1/2 oz! He has been having a bit of a hard time with reflux. They first switched him from regular formula to soy formula then to Alimentum which is the hypoallergenic expensive formula. The switch to the Alimentum helped a good bit with spitting up, reflux and his colic. He is also on zantac for the reflux and today they added previcid to the mix. We are praying that with the combination of the two medicines and the expensive formula that he will be happier and have fewer bouts of really bad reflux and overall his tummy will feel better. It is so hard to sit there and listen to him scream because he does not feel well or because his reflux is acting up and not be able to do anything about it. But, like I said, hopefully this will do the trick. If he feels better I am almost certain he will sleep better and for longer periods through the night. Right now, he will go to sleep but he groans and fusses most of the time (which does not let mommy go to sleep)! He goes for his 2 month check up November 25 and I get to go to because it is one of my furlough days! We are so blessed that God made Logan just for us but this time has been really trying and the hardest thing we have ever had to do. I know it will get better, I am just praying it gets better soon! I started work Wednesday and it was hard but I know I can do all things with Him! But now that I am at work and apart from him during the day, I notice how he has changed and grown when I do get home to see him. On a different not, I transferred to the Athens Regional Office (instead of Atlanta) and it has made such a huge difference in commute and I am so much happier! God is amazing and I praise Him every day for all the wonderful things in our life!

  2. I'm so sorry to hear Logan's having such a hard time right now, and in turn, so are you guys. Hopefully the new formula and the Zantac/Prevacid will help get him back to feeling like a pampered baby boy and help get you back to snoozeville! We miss you @ CC but I'm so glad to hear the move has made your work life better. :) Wow - his 2 month check up?!?!? HOLY SMOKES! It seems like you just had him!!! Love you!
