Looking back on 2009

Well, looking back on the year, I really don't remember much! I blame the pregnancy and the forgetfullness that comes with that! I was pregnant for most of the year, went through the HOT summer and then was put on bedrest for the last trimester. Logan was born a month early (thank God... I was miserable and Logan was big!) and life has been extra crazy ever sense. All I can remember now is MANY sleepless nights and extreme exhaustion followed by colic and problems with breastfeeding, formula and reflux. Things are better, but he still has problems every now and then. He smiles, coos and laughs all the time and it just seems like he wants to start talking to you at any moment. Those are the moments that make all the pain, sleepless nights and fussing all worth it... Everytime he laughs or starts talking and looks at you, it is just amazing that God sent him for us, He made this little guy that came out of me... so weird and amazing! It has been a rough year with the pregnancy (first the embryo tearing away from the uterus wall, then the amniotic band, then preeclampsia which put me on bedrest, then preterm labor at 33weeks, 3 hospital visits then the delivery) and bringing Logan into this world... but I would not trade him or life as it is now for any material or other thing in this world. God has blessed us with Logan and we can't wait to see what God has in store for our lives and for his. Thank you for all the prayers, cards and support during this year.

1) Where did you begin 2009?
I can't really remember but I think William and I were upstairs in the fire room watching a countdown on the tv.

2) What did you do for Valentine's Day?
Went to carabbas and the gladiator's game i think...I seem to remember pink ice.

3) Were you in school anytime this year?
Yep, spring semester... then it became too much for being pregnant and sick!

4) How did you earn your money?
By working for the lovely state...

5) Did you have to go to the hospital or doctor?
Many many doctor appts and hospital visits!

6) Did you have any encounters with the police?
We got pulled over on the way to Tennessee, but luckily William was driving and he got out of it with his firefighter pull... I got pulled over a few weeks ago because my light was out...

7) Would you relive 2009 over and over again?
Ummm, I would only if it would produce my little logan!

8) What did you purchase that was over $1000?
Logan, though he was not "purchased" he did cost well over $1k

9) Did you know anybody who got married?
Dena and Richard!

10) Did you know anybody who passed away?
Several Church family members, a friend's niece (SIDS)

11) Did you know anyone who had a baby?
ME!!!!!!!!!!

12) Did you move anywhere?
No, thankfully!

13) What concerts/shows did you go to?
Don't think I went to any!

14) What new restaurants did you visit?
Umm, definitely cannot remember! I blame pregnancy brain and now mommy brain!

15) Do you still have the same job as you did in 2008?
Yeppers, same job, different location!

16) What was your favorite movie that you saw in 2009?
Since I cannot remember any movies we saw, I am going to go with the one we saw last which was Sherlock Holmes on Christmas Day!

Umm, don't really remember that either!

19) What's one thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2009?
Had a baby! I had always dreamed of getting pregnant and having a miracle gift from God, but actually experiencing it and then getting through labor and seeing Logan for the first time is just breathtaking and a complete gift from God.

20) What has been your favorite moment?
Telling William I was pregnant, delivering Logan...

21) What's something you learned about yourself?
That I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

Yeppers, Logan Andrew Knight, born September 22, 2009, 8lbs 3oz 21inches long~

24) Were you in a relationship this year?
Yes celebrated our 2 year anniversary with my wonderful husband.

25) What music will you remember 2009 by?
Probaby Sugarland's entire CD.

26) Favorite new website you discovered this year?
probably this blog site! helps me journal and keep memories with out paper and while I am at work!

27) New friend?
I have made a few!

28) Favorite Night out?
Honestly havent had many of those lately so probably something from when I was pregnant and before the bedrest part!

29) How many books did you read this year and which was your favorite/least favorite?
1 book (Calm My Anxious Heart), some Bible studies and working on some now.

30) Do you think 2010 will be better or worse?
I think it will be a blessing just as this year was... we are hoping for God to create baby #2 around the end of next year (if finances and all work out)... Just praying for God to work His way in our lives and to let us see His plans for us!
