Though one should be thankful each and every day, I suppose sometimes it helps to write what we are thankful for down especially if one is in a valley as opposed to on top of a mountain. It definitely puts things into perspective. Either way, there are so many things and people that I am thankful for that I could not possibly list them all, for I would leave someone or something out or hurt someones feelings. So, I guess that is a sort of caveat of please don't take this personally if one is not mentioned. Mommy-brain is still active and actively forgetting! Thus here goes my November being thankful, thanksgiving list...
Nov. 1... God... my rock, my salvation... He is everything... I would be nowhere without Him. curled up without anything ... just nothing. I am every grateful for my salvation first, William's second and so blessed and thankful for Him bringing us together. Then, only as He can do, He created the most perfect being from nothing into something and even with all the tribulations of my pregnancy He created the most perfect miracle and precious blessing, Logan. We of course had no idea, but God, of course knew that Logan was the piece to our puzzle that was missing. Maybe there will be another piece later, maybe not... only He knows.
Nov. 2...My family. Though he gets on my nerves and can irritate the bonkers out of me, who else could do that and still want to make you want to be with them the rest of your life? MY man! He is always there for me, listens or pretends to listen to me, and is generally just my man. Then there is the fact that he help make my little man who I adore with all my heart and soul and would give anything for... I am so in LOVE with them both it is unreal. I am also very thankful for my mom and dad especially during this very uneasy/ stressful time with William being furloughed like crazy. They have been a lifesaver on several occasions and if it weren't for them we would really be up the creek.
Nov. 3... All of our church family and friends. We are extremely blessed to have the most amazing church family who is so precious and caring. Friends and family who care for us and Logan... care for each other, and most importantly, LOVE God. It is beautiful the warmth you feel in our church- The Holy Spirit.
Nov. 4... Our washer and dryer. It is so wonderful to be able to do your laundry in your own house. Do you take that for granted? We have a plethora of laundry on a daily basis, as anyone with a child surely does! I love the smell of clean, fresh laundry (so does Bambi) and just take that away in your life and see how much of a difference that would make. Not everyone around you, sitting next to you at work, in the pew, at the grocery store has the luxury of a washer and/or dryer in their nice, warm house.
Nov. 5... My eye sight... I praise God for my vision. Can you imagine going just one hour of one day without vision? I can... For one of William's paramedic school field trips (yes, they still go on field trips in adult school!) We went to Atlanta to Dialog in the Dark it was amazing and completely changed my outlook. You get a stick like a blind person uses, go in and sit down, the lights dim and your tour guide is blind. He takes you through different rooms that are different mediums and you have to feel your way around with your stick, using your other senses feel for things try NOT to have a panic attack ... it was a great experience and I learned a lot... especially that I would not make a good blind person!
Nov. 6... My hearing... I would probably make a better deaf person than blind person but I am very thankful that I am neither. I love sign language and pray one day that I will be able to learn it, but hopefully not through me being deaf.
Nov. 7... I am thankful for our Bible Study group. You guys have no idea how much you mean to me. I need Beth like crazy and I know that on Monday nights it is sometimes easier to just say ... ugh I want to go to bed or chill at home... but her message is always worth it!
Nov. 8... Botox and my neurologist. I finally found a neurologist who is amazing and wonderful and LISTENS to me! Do you know how rare that is? After years of medications and failed attempts to get my migraines under control they attempted Botox. Yes, Botox like the kind no offense narcissistic people use for lines. It has been an answered prayer! Instead of having migraines every 1-2 days it is about 2-3 weeks! WEEKS people.... I haven't had this in my whole life!!!!!
Nov. 9... Paramedic school. It has been a huge adjustment at first (and still is at times) but really hoping this opens up some opportunities for us and will progress William's career...
Nov. 10... Making mistakes. I mean small and HUGE ones... and they can really stink sometimes... but I know that God puts those things in our life so that we can learn from them, make us STRONGER for them, teach our children and make them better for it and we will not repeat those mistakes and we will better be able to GLORIFY HIM!!!
Nov. 11... Our jobs... even though William is furloughed and up until this year I had no idea what that meant, and I wish it would have stayed that way, I am thankful that we both do have jobs. After all, I like the idea of barely being able to pay our mortgage better than NOT being able to pay our mortgage!
Nov. 12... Champy. Champy is my car. I love him. He is named Champy because he is Champagne colored. I am blessed that I get from point A to point B. I know there are plenty of people who do not have a vehicle and I know that I could not make my LOVELY hour and fifteen minute commute without him...
Nov. 13... Government Holidays. Let's face it. I LOVE not having to work AND getting paid for it! I get to stay home with my BUNDLE of JOY and get a day off of work. Don't have to waste the $10 it takes to drive in to work... HECK YES!
Nov. 14... Free Chick-fil-a Coupons. They are amazing. And, have saved me over the last few weeks of poor-dom. It is an amazing system. You get a survey on the bottom of your receipt... fill it out, get a free chick-fil-a sammy or anything equal or lesser value! Fantastic! Also, thankful for co-worker that are sweet/ aka feel for me and give me their surveys!
Nov. 15... Prayer, the POWER of prayer and answered prayers.
Nov. 16... GMP... Well she is the answer to prayers and is an amazing second mother and friend. She sneaks in McDonald's and other tasty treats that otherwise certain little blessings probably wouldn't experience... other than ghetto get-ups she's a pretty good catch!
Nov. 17... E-Vites. If you know me, you are probably going to get one. SOON. I am obsessed and if I can create an event... you are getting an E-vite for it!
Well... That is all for now... part II of thankfulness and Thanksgiving to come... (if I remember!)...
