It is so hard for me to write this post. I have been delaying it for days, but wanted to go ahead and write it. I stumbled across this website of a girl I went to highschool with... it just devasted me and brought me to prayer and tears. This situation that this family is in could have easily have been me or you. They are recently married and had a daughter, Karis (only about 3months before Logan was born). About 6months after she was born they noticed something was wrong. It turns out she has Krabbe Disease where her nerve impulses cannot be conducted properly and the eventual loss of white matter in the brain. Most babies diagnosed with this disease do not live past 13 months, so she is already a miracle. They have come up with a "project 629" where you pray for her at 6:29am and pm. She was born on June 29th thus the verbage. Also, to rejoice on the 29th of each month for God's grace and blessing of her and the family. You can go to their website and read all about them, the disease and her progress.

It also makes me very thankful that I have a very healthy, thriving boy. Eventhough he has had his bouts with sickness, he is not terminally sick. And, I realize that I should be praising God more for that. Less complaining that he is eating crayons, but praising God that he can move his arm to touch and lift the crayon to his mouth. There are many children out there that cannot and will not ever be able to do that. I thank God that he is with this family and that they are strong in Faith ... I know He does not give anyone anything that they cannot handle, but sometimes you still wonder why such wonderful people go through such hard times and things that surely are not deserved to them. I pray that they have many more months with their beautiful baby girl!
wow...that's definitely eye-opening! I'll be praying for Karis & her fam, and knowing the Great Physician has a reason for all they have to go through!
