Now, Logan won't have to come home in a cardboard box...

This weekend was beyond amazing... First it started out with the stroller that we wanted being on sale Friday (well it had been on sale for 2 weeks, but I just didn't say anything). Then, I mentioned it to my mom and told her the Eddie Bauer stroller/ carrier system that we wanted was on sale from $209.99 to $178.98... She insisted that I go get it and she would pay for it... So, I was very excited and hoping that it was still at Target (there was only one). I got to Target and it was still there and I was so excited... I had to get someone to help me lift it, but then we were off to check out... and the stroller/ carrier thing rang up for $146! It turned out that the only reason it was on sale was because the box was banged up... They assured me that everything was in the box, it had never been opened and that I could bring it back if something was wrong. I had to take William's truck to work since he needed my car to bring all the dogs to my mom's house Friday. So, here I am trying to get this big box into William's truck (which I am not supposed to be lifting anyway), but I finally get it in there. I came back to work and did not want to leave it in the back for fear of someone stealing it... so one of my coworkers told me I could put it in her trunk until I left. So, I pull the truck up next to her car and see that she backed in to her parking spot... I am thinking, there is no way I can lift this box above all these cars to get it in her trunk. So, I pull her car forward a bit until I can access the trunk... meanwhile, keep in mind that the building I work in is a glass triangle, so EVERYONE can see this ordeal going on in the parking lot. I get the box and take it to her trunk and sure enough, it doesn't fit! I try really hard to make it fit, but this thing is not going in there. So, I have to unwedge it from her trunk and lift this awkward, slightly heavy box and take it to her back seat. At this point I am out of breath and sweating... and I just know people are watching me wondering what the "Crazy Pregnant Lady" is doing. I am trying to shove this box into her backseat and finally get it to go... reverse and park her car and proceed to park the truck. Sure enough, I get inside and they were all watching me... they had a good laugh... Anyway, the whole ordeal was so worth it for the amazing stroller and the sale I got it for!

I left an hour early from work Friday (with the awesome stroller) so that we could get a head start to Tennessee. Well that didn't really happen because once I met my mom and William at my mom's house, we had to put the stroller/ carrier thing together. But, it was nice and we finally got on the road and made it to my grandmother's house by 8:00 or so... We chilled Friday night, went to Gatlinburg, tubing, and dinner for our anniversary Saturday, and went to see Harry Potter before we came home Sunday. All-in-all it was an amazing trip. Just getting away for the weekend is priceless... I am so fortunate and thankful that my mom and grandmother paid for most everything and made this weekend possible. I would have to say the best part of the trip was tubing; while out there on the river, just floating with my husband, you could just feel the presence of God and it just humbles you... and you realize all the blessings and wonderful things that are going on in your life. Even if there are hard times, you know that it is going to make you stronger and that God would not put anything in front of you that you could not handle. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!" (Phil 4:13)... Anyway, thanks to everyone who made this weekend possible and I just thank God every day for all the blessings and the strength he gives us... and, I can't wait for Logan to go see all the beautiful things He made.

  1. Love the stroller colors. Back when Katie & Josie were born, everything was pink, blue, light green or yellow. Baby stuff has come a long way!! So happy to hear that you had a very peaceful weekend. Happy Anniversary!
