Well this year was my first real mother's day. We were not doing presents or anything but it was nice! (I already found and purchased the inexpensive hand-made necklace I wanted!) I have always wanted to plant something out by the mailbox and did but everything died. Then, was on bed rest and could not plant anything, then Logan was born and now am just getting around to the point of being able to breathe again. So, mother's day morning William was on his way home from work and brought me home some flowers! They were some tulip bulbs so I could plant them out front and they would come back every year! (Because I did not want to spend money on flowers if they did not come back every year). They were inside the kitchen and were leaning toward the sunlight outside, so I put them on top of the grill. William, being the wonderfully, sweet husband that he is, went ahead and watered them while he was watering his garden. Well, somehow Ace (the black lab) got into the garden and I came outside and there he was... all I saw was the green plastic left. Sure enough Ace had eaten all the tulips, stems, bulbs, dirt. After almost wanting to beat him, I went inside and looked to see if they were harmful to dogs and the bulbs are poisonous. So, knowing our history with Ace and all the stuff he has eaten in the past, I just got the hospital number handy in case we needed it. Luckily he did not get sick, but I was furious that he ate my present and that he could have been really sick... What a silly puppy!
